Special Kitties
This is James. He is a five year old neutered male cat.
He is a black, gray, and tan tiger. He has been a resident for too long and is looking for just the right home.
He just had major surgery because all his teeth needed to be removed.
He is recuperating very well. He is a little shy at first but very lovable.
He would fit best into a home with no other animals and get one-on-one attention.
Jennifer is looking for a forever home.
She is a spayed female around two years old.
She has beautiful short silky hair except for her hind quarters
where Jennifer had hip surgery.
She came into the shelter injured, had a very successful surgery,
and is ready to go home.
Jennifer is very friendly, has a sweet disposition
and gets along very well with other cats.

The Houlton Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation whose purpose is to provide shelter, care and adoption opportunity for the stray and abandoned animal friends of the southern Aroostook County area of Maine.
The Society also sponsors a loan assistance program for spay/neuter, a TNR program for feral cat colonies and maintains the "Diego Fund" for sick/injured animals brought into the shelter to make them healthy and prepare them for adoption. We are proud to be a no-kill facility.
